How many times does a diabetic urinate?

My neighbour has diabetes and says he has to go to the washroom very frequently. I was wondering what's considered normal for someone with this condition. Roughly how many times does a diabetic person urinate in a day?

If blood sugars are not controlled, a diabetic might urinate 8 to 12 times a day, or even more. I know how stressful frequent urination can be, especially with hormonal issues. It is always safest to talk to your doctor and get a blood glucose test to understand what is going on.

Look, if your sugars are high, you'll be running to the washroom constantly, sometimes more than 10 times a day. It is your kidney trying to dump the extra glucose. Get an HbA1c test done immediately instead of trying to guess your health status.

When my sugar spikes, my smart water bottle app and washroom trips definitely increase, sometimes up to 10 times a day. If you track your daily water intake and urination frequency, you will clearly see the pattern when glucose levels are high. Try using a health tracker app to monitor it.

See, there is no fixed number, but if you are urinating 10-12 times a day and waking up multiple times at night, your sugar is definitely high. Stop waiting around and consult your doctor. Once your medication is correct, this frequent urination will stop naturally.

Actually, when my dad's sugar was super high, he was going to the washroom almost every hour, yaar. It was so exhausting for him. Once the doc started the proper medicines, it settled down to normal. So don't worry, just get the checkup done.

I am new to managing health stuff, but I read that high sugar makes you pee a lot, sometimes more than 8 times. Does this frequent urination also happen even if you drink very little water? I would love to know if anyone else experienced that.

My grandfather went through this recently where he was going to the toilet every hour, especially at night. Once we took him to the clinic and got his diabetes medicines adjusted, it came down to a very normal 5-6 times. It is a very common sign of high sugar.

If you are urinating more than 8-10 times a day, your blood sugar might be elevated. Instead of spending on expensive specialist visits first, just get a basic fasting and post-meal blood sugar test at a local lab for 150-200 rupees. Take those reports directly to a general physician.
