How many teens have mental health issues?

My younger sister's friend is going through a tough time, and it got me thinking about how common this is. Do we have an idea of how many teens actually have mental health issues these days? I feel like it's becoming more prevalent.

I've heard numbers are quite high, around 1 in 5 or something? It sounds really concerning. What are some of the most common issues they face, like anxiety or stress?

The statistics are alarming, many teens struggle. It's a complex issue, and sometimes health conditions like PCOS can also affect mental well-being due to hormonal imbalances. It's important to approach with caution and support, encouraging them to talk to parents or doctors.

Far too many, it's a serious problem. I ignored my own anxiety symptoms for too long and regretted it. If you or someone you know is showing signs, please, please urge them to get a proper checkup with a mental health professional. Don't wait.

It feels like almost all of them, given the pressure cooker environment these days! When I was a teen, our biggest stress was passing exams, not social media. Jokes aside, it's a very real and serious concern. Hope they find good support.

Haye Ram, it is very worrying how many young ones are facing these issues. So much pressure, so much screen time. We must talk to them gently, make them feel loved. Sometimes a warm oil massage and some good sleep help, but if it's very deep, then a doctor's advice is needed.

It's incredibly sad and concerning to hear about how many teens are struggling. As someone who's experienced anxiety, I know how overwhelming and isolating it can feel. It's essential we create environments where they feel safe to express themselves and get the help they need without judgment.

It's a growing number, and it's sad to see. Simple things like good food, yoga, meditation, spending time in nature can help a lot. But for serious issues like deep depression or anxiety, it is always best to consult a good doctor or therapist, don't delay.
