How many stages of sleep?

I've been having trouble sleeping lately, and someone told me about different 'stages' of sleep. I'm curious to know how many stages there actually are.

Stages of sleep? There are stages?! All I know is 'awake,' 'barely asleep,' and 'oh god I need more sleep.' 😂 But yeah, scientifically, it's like 4-5 stages, including REM. My body usually just skips to 'comatose' after a long day.

My dear, sleep has several stages that our body cycles through. Usually, they speak of 4 or 5 stages, including REM sleep. It is vital for our mind and body to complete these cycles for true rest. Prioritize your sleep, for a peaceful mind and healthy life.

Yo, so for sleep, I learned in bio it's usually 4 stages of NREM (non-REM) and then 1 stage of REM sleep. So like, 5 stages in total if you count them separately. Super important for memory and stuff, but who actually gets enough? 😂

Sleep typically has 4 stages of non-REM (NREM) and 1 stage of REM sleep, making it 5 stages. Good sleep is so important for health, and thankfully it's free! 😉 Investing in a good mattress or pillow is a practical expense, but for actual sleep issues, sometimes a doctor visit or sleep study might be needed, so keep that in mind for future planning.

I used to panic when I couldn't sleep, thinking I was doing it all wrong. Then I learned about the stages! There are usually 4 stages of NREM sleep and then 1 stage of REM sleep, so about 5 stages in total that we cycle through. It's normal to wake up briefly between cycles, so don't stress about it like I used to!

Sleep is so interesting! It's generally divided into 4 non-REM (NREM) stages and 1 REM (rapid eye movement) stage. So, often simplified as 4-5 stages! Getting through all of them is key for feeling refreshed! 😴✨
