How many stages of liver disease are there?

My husband has been drinking quite a lot for years, and now his doctor has warned him about liver problems. I'm worried and want to know how many stages of liver disease there are.

Liver disease progression isn't always a linear 'stage' system like some other conditions. It often goes from inflammation, to fibrosis, then cirrhosis, and potentially liver failure/cancer. Cirrhosis itself has compensated and decompensated stages. For effective management, a specialist's diagnosis is non-negotiable. Don't rely on generic info.

For liver disease, it's generally progressive from inflammation to fibrosis to cirrhosis, and then sometimes failure. Cirrhosis itself has 'compensated' and 'decompensated' stages, which are very significant. I've seen how quickly things can worsen with liver issues, so please, if there's any concern, see a hepatologist immediately. No delays.

When I first heard about liver issues, I totally panicked thinking about 'stages'. Actually, it's more like a progression: fatty liver, then fibrosis, then cirrhosis, and then liver failure. Cirrhosis then has compensated and decompensated. It's not a simple 1,2,3,4. My doctor explained it calmly, so don't get scared by internet searches. Get it checked properly.

Haan ji, for liver disease, it's not like proper fixed 'stages' like cancer na. It's more of a journey from fatty liver to fibrosis, then cirrhosis, and then sometimes liver failure. Cirrhosis itself has two main parts, compensated and decompensated. So, it's more like a progression, haan.

Liver disease has a progression, often described as inflammation, then fibrosis, then cirrhosis, and then potentially liver failure. Cirrhosis is further split into compensated and decompensated. Just like managing BP, it's about lifestyle and regular checkups. Keeping an eye on your liver health is crucial, especially if you have other conditions.

It's more of a progression than strict numbered stages for overall liver disease. You typically go from inflammation (like fatty liver) to fibrosis, then cirrhosis, and finally liver failure. Many health apps can help you track symptoms or diet, but for liver issues, serious medical advice and consistent monitoring are non-negotiable.
