How many stages of chronic kidney disease are there?

My wife's aunt has been told she has chronic kidney disease, and everyone in the family is quite concerned. Could someone please tell me how many stages this condition usually has?

I was researching this recently, and from what I found, chronic kidney disease (CKD) is typically divided into 5 stages. It's based on the GFR numbers. It's good to understand these things, even if it's just out of curiosity.

Chronic Kidney Disease is serious, and the stages are usually 5, based on your GFR. But don't start self-diagnosing or trying some internet 'cures' based on this number. Always get proper tests and consult a nephrologist for accurate staging and treatment. Anything less is risky.

It's totally normal to feel a bit overwhelmed when you're looking into conditions like this. Chronic Kidney Disease generally has 5 stages, which are determined by your GFR. Don't let the information scare you too much, just use it to be informed and remember to always consult a doctor for personalized advice. It helps with the anxiety.

My nephrologist explained that Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is classified into 5 stages, primarily using the Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR). Stage 1 is mildest, and Stage 5 is kidney failure. They further consider albuminuria (protein in urine) for a more complete picture. So it's 5 stages, but with additional details.

For CKD, they usually talk about 5 stages. I've seen people try so many things for their health, but for kidneys, it's very important to follow doctor's advice on diet and medication. Home remedies are okay for small things, but for something like this, serious medical guidance is a must. Be practical.

Yaar, actually, chronic kidney disease has 5 stages, haan. It's all based on your GFR. From what I remember, they go from Stage 1 (mild) to Stage 5 (kidney failure). It's quite a serious thing, so always get it checked by a doc if there's any issue.
