How many people on liver transplant list?

A family friend recently had a liver transplant, and it was a very long and complicated process. We heard there's a huge waiting list for such procedures. I'm wondering, how many people are typically on the liver transplant list at any given time?

Hope it's not a long queue, otherwise my liver is definitely going to protest after all those late-night biryanis! 😉 Jokes aside, it's a serious matter. Wishing strength to everyone on that list and their families.

For liver health, lifestyle choices play a massive role. Regular exercise, even just brisk walking, and a diet low in processed foods can support liver function. Of course, once you're on a transplant list, it's a different ball game, but prevention is always the best strategy.

For liver health, diet is everything. Avoiding alcohol, too much sugar, and fatty foods is crucial. If someone is on a transplant list, their dietary needs become even more specialized, and must be strictly managed by doctors and dietitians. It's a very difficult situation.

The number of people on liver transplant lists varies by region and constantly changes, but it's always a long waiting game due to organ scarcity. It underscores the importance of organ donation awareness. Also, preventive care for liver health is crucial to avoid reaching that stage.
