How many people have sleep apnea?

My husband snores really loudly and sometimes stops breathing in his sleep, so his doctor suggested he might have sleep apnea. I'm concerned and curious, how many people actually have this condition?

Ho na, sleep apnea is quite common, especially among older people or those who are overweight. My uncle was diagnosed with it recently. It's not just snoring, it's a serious breathing issue. If someone is having very loud snoring or stops breathing in sleep, then definitely check it out, haan.

Sleep is a sacred part of our day, for body and mind to rejuvenate. When conditions like sleep apnea disturb it, our whole system suffers. It's a reminder to care for ourselves, from diet to breathing. If restless sleep is a problem, seek guidance, and be positive that solutions exist.

I used to panic after hearing stories about sleep apnea, thinking every snore meant something bad. But then I learned it's actually pretty common, and many people manage it well. If you have symptoms, a sleep study is key. Don't just Google and scare yourself like I did!

Beta, many people suffer from disturbed sleep, and some of them have this sleep apnea. Sometimes, just sleeping on your side or losing a little weight can help. But if someone is really struggling, or stopping breathing in sleep, then it is important to show a good doctor. Don't ignore it.
