How many people die per year from malaria?

There's always so much talk about malaria during the monsoon season here. I always make sure our house is clean and free of mosquitoes. Just curious, how many people die from malaria each year?

Malaria is still a big problem, especially in rural areas. My grandmother used to burn neem leaves to keep mosquitoes away. While those help, if someone gets fever and chills, they must go to the doctor immediately. Home remedies are for prevention, not for cure when it's serious.

Malaria still accounts for a significant number of deaths globally each year, particularly in endemic regions. This highlights the ongoing need for mosquito control, prompt diagnosis, and completing the full course of antimalarial treatment. Prevention is always better.

Bete, malaria is very dangerous, especially for children. My mother always said to keep water from collecting and to use mosquito nets. These old ways help. But if the fever is too high, then without delay, take the patient to the doctor, don't just rely on home things.

It's a serious number, unfortunately. Practical solutions mean keeping our surroundings clean, no standing water, and using mosquito repellents. If someone gets symptoms, don't self-medicate, go to a government clinic or doctor. Early treatment is key.

I've had malaria once, and it was absolutely terrible. High fever, body aches, it completely drains you. Just from my experience, it's not something to take lightly at all. Make sure to protect yourself from mosquitoes.
