How many people are estimated to have diabetes?

My mother-in-law has diabetes, and half our family seems to have it too. It makes me feel like it's a very common disease. Does anyone know approximately how many people are estimated to have diabetes worldwide?

The numbers for diabetes are honestly a bit terrifying! Makes me think twice before reaching for that extra gulab jamun, haha. But seriously, it's a huge issue, and we all need to be more mindful of our sweet cravings and general diet.

It's estimated that a massive number of people globally have diabetes, and many more are pre-diabetic. This is why daily exercise, even just brisk walking for 30-40 mins, along with a balanced diet, is so important. It's a key defense against it, and helps manage it too.

Honestly, it feels like almost every other person I know or in my family has diabetes or pre-diabetes. It's so common now. It's a good reminder for us younger people to start taking our health seriously, especially with diet and activity, to try and prevent it.

My doctor emphasized that diabetes has reached epidemic proportions worldwide. The latest estimates suggest hundreds of millions are affected, with many more undiagnosed. It's a complex disease, and consistent monitoring, diet, and medication (if needed) are crucial.

The sheer number of people with diabetes makes it a ripe target for all sorts of internet quacks selling 'miracle cures.' Please, if you or a family member is dealing with diabetes, always consult a proper endocrinologist or general physician. Don't fall for unverified online remedies.

Oh, diabetes affects so, so many people. My neighbour also has it. I've seen her try all kinds of home remedies like bitter gourd juice and neem, and while some help a little, consistent medical care is non-negotiable. It's about finding what works best with your doctor.

Bro, my grandfather has diabetes, and so do a couple of my uncles. It's super common, especially in India. Like, everyone knows someone with it. Makes me think about cutting down on those sugary drinks, for real.
