How many pecans can a diabetic eat?

I'm a diabetic and my grandkids got me some pecans from their US trip. They look tasty, but I'm always careful with what I eat. Can I have pecans, and if yes, how many can a diabetic like me safely consume?

I totally get how confusing it can be to figure out exact quantities for every food item with diabetes! For pecans, they're good for you but calorie-dense. Most nutritionists suggest about 15-20 pecan halves (which is roughly one ounce or 28 grams) as a daily portion. It's about getting the benefits without overdoing the calories and carbs.

Pecans, yaar, those are expensive! But if you can get them, they're pretty good. For diabetics, like any nut, you gotta keep it to a small handful. My friend's dietician said about 15-20 pecan halves are okay. They're high in healthy fats, so good for energy but too many means too many calories. Portion control is key.

Oh, pecans are so yummy! 😋 For diabetics, it's generally recommended to stick to a small handful, like about 15-20 pecan halves per day. They're packed with healthy fats, so great for a snack, but watch the portion size because of the calories! Enjoy them! ✨

It's completely normal to feel anxious about every food choice when you're diabetic, I've been there. For pecans, which are quite rich, a modest portion is usually advised. Aim for about 15-20 halves, which is around an ounce. It's a good source of nutrients, but always keep an eye on your blood sugar and check with your dietician for a personalized plan.

Hey there! Pecans are great for health, full of good fats, but for diabetics, like all nuts, they need to be consumed in moderation. A standard serving is typically around 15-20 pecan halves, which is about an ounce. This gives you the benefits without affecting your blood sugar too much. Just keep it to that small handful, okay? You're doing well by asking!
