How many peanuts should a diabetic eat?

My doctor recently told me my blood sugar levels are high, borderline diabetic. I love eating peanuts, especially with my evening tea. Can someone tell me how many peanuts are okay for me to eat without affecting my sugar too much?

Beti, peanuts are good for the body, but for madhumeh (diabetes), everything needs moderation. My nani used to say, 'akha roti mein se adha hi achha.' A small handful, maybe 10-15 peanuts, is usually fine. But not the fried ones, only plain. Natural things are good, but quantity control is the real remedy.

Haan na, peanuts are tasty! My dietician said a small portion is fine for diabetics. Like 15-20 peanuts are generally okay. They have protein and fiber, good for keeping you full. But not too many, because they have calories also. Have them plain, don't go for the masaledar ones, haan!

From a practical standpoint, peanuts are okay for diabetics due to their good fat and protein content, but portion control is key. A small handful, roughly 20-25 shelled peanuts (about an ounce), is generally recommended. Avoid salted or flavored ones. Always monitor your blood sugar to see how your body reacts personally.

Bhai, for diabetes, eat everything in limits, my doctor always says. Peanuts are good, they give taakat (strength). But take just a small mutthi (handful), maybe 15-20, not more. Eat them plain, without salt. This way, you get the benefit and no harm. Simple living, simple eating.

For specific dietary questions like this for diabetics, it's always best to consult your doctor or a dietician. When I go to Fortis, they always emphasize personalized advice. Generally, a small handful (around 20-25 peanuts) is okay for most, but your specific glucose response and overall diet plan matter. Don't hesitate to ask your doctor directly.
