How many nephrons are contained in each kidney?

As a medical student, I'm revising renal physiology. Could anyone confirm the approximate number of nephrons contained in each human kidney? I'm checking my notes.

Oh, that's an interesting question about kidneys! As someone with PCOS, kidney health is something I try to be mindful of. I'm not a medical expert, but I recall hearing it's a very large number, like a million or so per kidney. Best to confirm with medical resources, though.

The number of nephrons is quite large, I think it's about a million per kidney. For someone like me with high BP, kidney health is a constant concern. Regular check-ups and keeping BP in control are crucial for protecting these vital units.

The number is in the millions, I think? But more importantly, if you're asking because you have kidney concerns, please get it checked. I once ignored some urinary symptoms, thinking it was minor, and it led to a more complex kidney issue. Don't make my mistake, see a doctor.

I'm not sure of the exact count, but they are the filtering units. Staying hydrated and drinking things like coconut water or lemon water are often suggested for general kidney well-being. But if you have health concerns, always consult a doctor.

That's a very specific biological question! I'm not sure about the exact number, but keeping kidneys healthy is so important. Drinking plenty of water and avoiding too much salt can help. But if you're asking due to a health concern, please see a doctor.

Hmm, nephrons? I'm not really sure about the exact number. Is it a lot? Does it vary from person to person, or is it pretty much the same for everyone?

For such a detailed question about the body, it is best to ask a doctor, beta. They know these things very precisely. But remember to drink enough water, that is always good for the kidneys, a very old and wise advice.

Honestly, I don't know the exact number of nephrons. My doctor always said that as long as my kidney function tests were normal, there was nothing to worry about. So, keeping an eye on those general health markers is more practical for me.

I think it's a huge number, like a million? That's what I vaguely remember from school science. Makes me wonder how much work our kidneys actually do every day! Does anyone else sometimes worry about their kidney health out of the blue?

From what I recall, it's around a million nephrons per kidney! I remember panicking once about kidney issues, but my doctor reassured me that unless there are specific symptoms or risk factors, our kidneys are quite robust. It's a fascinating organ, though!
