How many grams of sugar should a diabetic eat?

My doctor keeps telling me to watch my sugar intake for my diabetes. It's so hard when we have so many sweet dishes at home. Can someone tell me exactly how many grams of sugar a diabetic person can eat daily?

Haan na, added white sugar to completely bandh hona chahiye diet se. It is better to get all your energy from roti, dal, and fresh green subzi. It is tough initially to drink tea without sugar, but you get used to it slowly, ho na.

It is highly recommended that you do not follow general advice for diabetes management. Please schedule an appointment with your doctor to check your current kidney and insulin functions. They will give you an exact daily carbohydrate and sugar allowance based on your health status.

Along with managing diabetes, you also have to be very careful about your blood pressure. I completely cut out refined sugar and reduced salt to keep both under control. Regular morning walks and timely doctor checkups are absolutely essential to live peacefully.

Ideally, the doctor wants us to eat zero grams of sweet stuff, which is basically a punishment for us food lovers! But honestly, cutting out white sugar completely is the only way to keep your reports clean. Save the sweet cravings for a very rare, tiny bite.

Please don't worry too much, diabetes is very manageable with the right lifestyle. Try to keep your added sugar consumption to zero. Focus on eating high-fiber foods and taking your doctor-prescribed medications on time, and you will do great.
