How many drinks can the liver break down per hour?

A friend and I were discussing alcohol consumption and health last night. He claimed the liver can only process a certain amount per hour. So, how many standard drinks can the liver actually break down in an hour?

My doctor told me that the liver can process roughly one standard drink per hour. This is about 10-14 grams of pure alcohol. Anything more than that just circulates in your blood, which is why people get drunk.

The body is a temple, and our liver works quietly to clean everything. Generally, it can process only one small drink in an hour. Take care of your health and live mindfully.

Bro, it's just one standard drink per hour. Chugging water or taking cold showers doesn't speed it up. If you drink fast, it's going to hit you anyway, so pace yourself.

It is about one drink per hour. I used to make lemon water and ginger tea for my husband after parties, but honestly, only time helps the liver clean the alcohol. There is no shortcut.

It's around one drink per hour, but does anyone else feel super sluggish and bloated the next day even after just one drink? I get so anxious about my liver health.

I used to panic thinking I ruined my liver after a heavy weekend. But my GP reassured me that the liver is resilient and processes about one drink per hour. Just give it rest and avoid bingeing.
