How many days can you go without sleep?

My younger brother is addicted to gaming and sometimes stays awake for really long stretches. I'm concerned about him and want to understand, how many days can you go without sleep before it's severely detrimental?

Keep it simple, don't overcomplicate things. If you are struggling to sleep, cut down on late evening tea or coffee and switch off your TV by 9 PM. Your body cannot pull through more than 2 days without showing serious weakness anyway.

Oh, after just 24 hours I start walking into walls! 😅 Sleep is so precious, please don't compromise on it. Try a nice warm bath tonight and relax!

Our bodies are beautiful temples and sleep is how they restore their natural energy. Going even two days without rest disrupts your inner peace. Pray, meditate for a few minutes before bed, and let go of your worries.

Listen boss, don't do experiments with your body. Maximum 2 to 3 days and then your brain will just lock up. Finish your dinner early, drop the phone, and sleep.

Technically, the human body cannot survive indefinitely without sleep; research shows severe cognitive decline begins within 48 to 72 hours. My physician explained that prolonged sleep deprivation can trigger critical issues like sudden blood pressure spikes and hallucinations.

From a recovery perspective, your muscles and nervous system start breaking down after just 24-36 hours of zero sleep. No matter how clean your diet is, without rest your body won't function. Try doing some physical activity during the day so you are naturally tired at night.

Don't listen to random internet challenges or home remedies claiming you can stay awake safely. If you have been unable to sleep for more than 48 hours, go get evaluated by a real doctor to find the root cause.

I literally went through this last month when my stress levels were peaking. After 48 hours of no sleep, I started getting dizzy and my chest felt tight. I had to get a mild prescription from my doc to break the cycle and finally sleep.

Working in the healthcare field, I've seen many people try to pull double shifts with no rest. After 48 hours, your reaction time becomes as bad as someone who is drunk. If it's medical insomnia, please talk to a doctor instead of buying over-the-counter pills.

Going without sleep for even two days severely disturbs the pranic flow in your body. I highly recommend practicing Bhramari Pranayama and Nadi Shodhana for ten minutes before bed to calm your nervous system naturally.

Please do not take this lightly. I tried to pull continuous night shifts and ended up in the ICU with severe panic attacks and a racing heart. If you are unable to sleep, please consult a proper doctor before your body crashes.

Honestly, as a father of a newborn, I can tell you that after 3 days of broken sleep you start talking to the fan. Your brain completely turn to gober. 0/10 would not recommend testing this.
