How many days can a fever last?

My son has had a fever for two days now, and we've given him paracetamol. I'm getting a bit worried; generally, how many days can a fever last before I should really be concerned and take him to the doctor again?

A normal viral fever usually lasts for 3 to 5 days. You can drink warm tulsi and ginger water to feel better and put cold water cloth strips on the forehead. But if it doesn't go away in 3 days, please visit a clinic.

Look, a simple seasonal fever should not last more than 3 days. If it's day 4 and you are still shivering, stop waiting and go to a general physician. Don't self-medicate blindly.

Hey, don't worry too much. A normal fever usually goes away in 3 days with proper rest and paracetamol. Just keep drinking plenty of fluids and resting. I am here if you need anything, but if it crosses 4 days, we will visit the doctor together.

Please be very careful. My regular fever lasted 4 days, and it turned out to be a severe kidney infection that required hospitalization. If your fever doesn't break in 3 days, or if you feel any back pain or shivering, see a doctor immediately.

I know how scary it is when the thermometer shows a high reading and you feel weak. Usually, 3 to 4 days is the standard time for a common cold fever to pass. Try to rest, sleep, and don't search your symptoms online.

Most viral fevers run their course in 3 to 5 days. Keep taking paracetamol as prescribed and stay hydrated. If the fever crosses 102 degrees or persists past 5 days, a blood test is needed to rule out typhoid or dengue.

A standard viral bug shouldn't cause a fever for more than 3-5 days. If it goes beyond 5 days, it’s a clear red flag. Don't wait around; get a complete blood count test done after consulting a doctor.

Normally, a fever wraps up in 3 to 4 days, which is great because soup gets boring very quickly! If you are still burning up after day 3 and can't enjoy your food, it's time to let a doctor check you out.

Normally 3 days is the limit for regular flu. If you can't work and the fever is still high on the fourth morning, book an online doctor consultation immediately. Don't drag it out and lose more working days.

A fever is just the body's natural way of burning out toxins, and it usually settles in 3 to 5 days. Give your body complete rest, drink warm herbal water, and don't force yourself to do any physical exercises right now.
