How many carbs should a diabetic have in 1 day?

My brother has diabetes, and we're trying to figure out a good meal plan for him. How many carbs should he have in one day? We want to ensure he gets enough energy without spiking his sugar.

Literally every website says something different and it is so confusing for a student. I just try to stick to basic home food like dal and veggies and skip the canteen samosas. If you can, just get a simple diet plan from your doctor to save yourself from all the Google research.

If you are trying to manage diabetes, keeping carbs around 100-130g and focusing on fiber-rich sources is a solid starting point. Combining that with regular strength training can really help improve your insulin sensitivity. Just make sure to align this with what your doctor advises for your specific case.

Hey, take a deep breath! Managing diabetes doesn't mean your food has to be boring or that you need to stress over every single gram of carb daily. Just focus on balanced home-cooked meals and talk to your doctor to find a simple plan that fits your lifestyle easily.

Managing daily carbs is totally doable once you get into the routine! I focus on yummy salads, sprouts, and paneer to keep things interesting and healthy. Just get a quick green signal from your doctor on your daily carb limit and you are good to go!

I get so scared that even a small piece of fruit will spike my sugar levels. Does anyone else feel super anxious counting every single carb during the day? I really need to consult my doctor again to clear up this constant fear in my mind.

I track all my meals on a health app and it helps me stay around 120-140 grams of carbs daily. Using a tracker makes it so much easier to see where hidden sugars are coming from. Definitely consult your clinical nutritionist first to set the right macro goals on your app.

My son has to be very careful with his daily carbs, so we prepare his meals with a target of around 130-150 grams. We focus on complex carbs like bran roti and whole pulses to keep his energy levels steady. Please consult a pediatric doctor or endocrinologist to get the right advice for your situation.

Haan na, calculating carbs in normal home food like bhakri or dal is quite tricky. I just try to eat a bit less rice and load up on green leafy vegetables instead. Honestly, it is best to ask your doctor to give you a simple daily limit so you don't get confused.

I was diagnosed with Type 2 last year and honestly, I was clueless. My doc told me to aim for roughly 120g of carbs a day and cut down on cold drinks and maida. It actually works, but you should definitely get your own target from a professional because everyone's body reacts differently.

Dealing with both high BP and blood sugar has taught me that general lifestyle changes are key. I try to keep my daily carbs moderate and focus on salt control too, along with monthly checkups. Please don't guess your carb limits; let your doctor guide you based on your latest blood tests.

When my doctor first told me to track my daily carbs, I completely panicked and thought I would have to starve. But honestly, once you get the hang of it, eating around 130g of carbs is actually quite filling and normal. Just take it one step at a time and work closely with your physician.

I am very new to all this and honestly quite confused about how to count carbs in our daily Indian food. My doctor mentioned a moderate carb diet, but I am still scared of making mistakes. Do you think I should visit a specialist dietician to get a detailed chart?
