How many beats per minute is a heart attack?

My husband has a family history of heart issues, so I'm trying to learn more about heart attacks. What exactly happens to the heart rate? How many beats per minute indicates a heart attack?

Bro, a heart attack isn't diagnosed by a specific heart rate, it can actually be high, low, or even normal! Don't rely on your smartwatch reading if you are feeling chest pain or numb in the arm. Just go to the hospital immediately.

In my life, I've seen that a heart attack can happen regardless of what the pulse rate says. The key symptoms are heavy pressure in the chest, sweating, and difficulty breathing. Don't worry about counting the beats, just seek medical emergency care right away.

There is no set heart rate for a heart attack. Your heart could be racing at 150 bpm or beating at a normal 70 bpm while having an episode. If you have severe chest discomfort or radiating pain, stop googling stats and go to the ER immediately.

I've read many discussions on this; a heart attack is about blood flow blockage, not heart rate. It can happen at 60 bpm or 140 bpm. If you suspect an emergency due to severe pain or dizziness, please go to the nearest hospital without delay.

Heart attacks can present with tachycardia or even bradycardia, so heart rate alone is not a reliable indicator. As someone managing high BP, I know that keeping track of symptoms like jaw pain or shortness of breath is far more critical. Please seek urgent care.

Man, my heart rate goes to 120 just looking at my monthly bills! But seriously, there is no magic BPM number for a heart attack. If you feel crushing chest pain or sudden sweating, skip the pulse check and call an ambulance.

A heart attack does not have a specific number of beats per minute. Gentle awareness of your body's signals is key. If there is a sudden heavy pressure in your chest, please do not try any breathing exercises; seek immediate medical attention instead.
