My neighbor was just diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, and she was really upset. It seems so common nowadays. I'm trying to understand how widespread it is globally. How many Americans have Type 2 diabetes?

Over my 70 years, I've seen diabetes become a household name globally. In America, more than 35 million people have type 2 diabetes. Don't worry, with proper food control and walking, it can be managed very well for decades.

About 1 in 10 Americans have type 2. For working folks like us, the key is time management. Pack your own healthy lunch to work and block 30 minutes for a walk, otherwise, high stress and sitting all day will catch up.

Almost 11% of the US population has type 2. In my family, everyone suggests various leaves and herbs to lower sugar, but I always trust my doctor's advice first. Taking prescribed medicine on time is the safest way.

Hearing that over 37 million Americans have this made me feel less isolated when I got my diagnosis. I used to feel so guilty, like I ruined my own body, but it's a very common metabolic issue. Please go easy on yourself emotionally.

I agree with the others. With over 37 million cases in the US, it is clear that reducing processed carbs is the single most helpful lifestyle change for diabetes management.

Yeah, like 35 million plus Americans have it, crazy numbers. Honestly, I got diagnosed with pre-diabetes last year at just 24. I just cut down on sugary drinks and fast food, and my levels came back to normal. It’s all about daily choices.

Around 11% of Americans deal with type 2 diabetes. If your doctor allows, starting weight training or just active daily walking can significantly improve insulin sensitivity. Physical activity is a huge game changer for blood sugar control.

Don't get overwhelmed by these massive numbers of 37 million people. If you are worried about your own health, we will take it one step at a time. Start by reducing sweets and getting a simple fasting blood sugar test done.

A very large number of Americans, around 37 million, live with this condition. While medical science is essential, ancient home practices like drinking warm water with fenugreek seeds in the morning can assist in keeping things stable, but always ask your doctor.

Diabetes affects millions in America and India, but ignoring it leads to severe kidney and nerve complications. I didn't take my fluctuating sugars seriously and regretted it later. Please see a proper diabetologist and get your HbA1c checked regularly.
