How long to sit in sun for psoriasis?

My cousin has psoriasis, and someone suggested that sunlight exposure can help. We were wondering, how long should he sit in the sun for it to be beneficial for his psoriasis? Is there a safe limit so it doesn't cause other skin issues?

For psoriasis, controlled sun exposure can be helpful, but it's crucial to be very careful. 10-15 minutes, perhaps 2-3 times a week, during non-peak sun hours (early morning or late afternoon). Anything more can be harmful. Always consult a dermatologist for a tailored plan, this is not a DIY solution.

As a working professional, finding time for sun exposure can be tough. For psoriasis, usually, doctors suggest short bursts, like 5-10 minutes, maybe three times a week, especially in the early morning sun. Don't overdo it, sunburn will make it worse. Consistency is more important than duration.

My doctor also advised me to get some sun for my general health, alongside managing my BP. For skin conditions like psoriasis, I've heard it should be short exposure, maybe 10-15 minutes in soft sun, and never in harsh afternoon heat. Always talk to your skin doctor about this, and how it might interact with other conditions or medicines.

With skin conditions like psoriasis, you have to be so careful. While some sunlight can help, too much can actually be damaging and even trigger other issues. It's really best to get a dermatologist's opinion on how long and what time of day for sun exposure. Everyone's skin is different, especially with other health concerns like PCOS.

Look, for psoriasis, sun exposure helps, but it has to be controlled. Maybe 5-10 minutes in the early morning sun. Don't sit for too long, otherwise, you'll get a tan or worse, sunburn. It's about finding that sweet spot. Simple but effective, combined with what the skin doctor says.

The sun is a source of life and healing, but all things in moderation. For psoriasis, a gentle embrace of the morning sun for 10-15 minutes can be beneficial, with gratitude. Avoid the harsh midday rays. Seek guidance from a wise doctor, and nurture your body with patience and positivity.
