How long to recover from heat stroke?

My brother was working outside last week and got a heat stroke, it was quite scary. Thankfully he's better now. I was wondering how long it takes to fully recover from a heat stroke and if there are any lasting effects?

Heat stroke is very serious, my mother always warns us to stay hydrated. Recovery time can really vary, from a few days to several weeks, depending on the severity and how quickly treatment was given. Always listen to the doctor's advice and take complete rest, no shortcuts.

Heat stroke? That sounds like my brain on a Monday morning in summer! But seriously, it's pretty rough. I heard it can take from a few days to a few weeks to really get back to normal. Just stay cool, drink water, and maybe avoid trying to walk on the sun for a while. Get well soon!

Listen, heat stroke is no joke, it's quite serious. The initial recovery might take a few days in the hospital, but feeling completely normal again can take weeks, sometimes even months, especially if there was any organ damage. Take it really slow, stay hydrated, and follow all medical advice. Don't push yourself.

For mild heat exhaustion, resting in a cool place and drinking electrolytes helps, and you might feel better in a day. But heat stroke is a medical emergency. Once you're stable, full recovery can take days to several weeks, with extreme fatigue common. You MUST be under a doctor's care for heat stroke, don't rely on home remedies alone.

Heat stroke sounds absolutely terrifying, especially with our Indian summers. How long does it really take to recover from something like that? I get so worried about it, especially for older family members. Do people often have lingering effects for a long time?

Oh, heat stroke is really scary! My cousin had it last year, and it took her about 2-3 weeks to feel somewhat normal again, but she was still very tired for a while after that. It really drains you. Hydration and complete rest under a doctor's guidance are super important.
