How long to recover from heart attack?

My neighbor recently had a heart attack and I was quite worried. He's back home now but looks very weak. How much time does it usually take for someone to recover completely after something like this?

My uncle had a heart attack a few years ago. His recovery was quite gradual. He had to stay in the hospital for about a week, then several weeks of rest at home with medication and very light activity. It really is a long process, but he is doing much better now.

Oh my god, a heart attack. That sounds incredibly scary. How long does it actually take to recover properly? I always worry about my parents and their heart health. Do people ever feel completely normal again, or is there always some lasting effect?

Recovering from a heart attack? I imagine it's longer than recovering from a bad biryani! Seriously though, it's a marathon, not a sprint. Take it easy, listen to your doc, and don't try to lift any elephants. Get well soon!

A heart attack sounds exhausting just to think about. I'm sure the recovery time feels even longer when you're already sleep-deprived from life! But seriously, it's a major event, so I'd imagine several months at least, with lots of rest. Hope whoever asked is taking it easy.

Oh, heart attack is very serious, ho na? Recovery takes time, beta. After the initial hospital stay, there is usually cardiac rehab for many weeks or months. It depends on the person and how severe it was, but usually, it's a journey of several months to a year to feel strong again. Be very patient and follow doctor's advice carefully.
