Typically, the first REM sleep cycle occurs about 90 minutes after falling asleep. These cycles then repeat throughout the night, becoming longer towards morning. Adequate sleep hygiene, including a consistent sleep schedule and avoiding stimulants before bed, is crucial for reaching and maintaining REM sleep. If you're consistently struggling, a sleep specialist might be helpful.

Generally, it takes around 90 minutes to get to REM sleep. The main thing is to have a consistent sleep schedule, even on weekends. Turn off your phone an hour before bed. Simple things like that help your body get into a routine and reach those deeper sleep stages naturally without needing fancy gadgets.

Hey, it's pretty normal to hit your first REM cycle around 90 minutes after you fall asleep. Don't worry too much if you don't feel like you're dreaming immediately. Just focus on getting good, uninterrupted sleep overall. A calm mind before bed helps a lot!

REM sleep? Haha, for me, it feels like I reach it after 5 minutes of sleep, then wake up for a water break! But seriously, my fitness tracker says it's usually around 90 minutes for the first cycle. Who knows if it's accurate, but I just aim for 7 hours, then whatever happens, happens!

When I had sleep issues, my doctor at Apollo Hospital explained that REM sleep usually starts after about 90 minutes. It's part of the sleep cycle. If you're concerned about your sleep quality, it's best to track your sleep patterns and discuss them with a sleep specialist. They can give proper guidance.

For most adults, the first REM stage is reached approximately 90 minutes into sleep. To maximize your chances of getting quality REM, ensure you're getting 7-9 hours of total sleep and maintaining a consistent bedtime. Any less, and you might cut short your REM cycles, affecting focus and mood the next day.
