How long to enter rem sleep?

Sometimes I wake up feeling like I haven't slept deeply enough, even after 7-8 hours. I'm trying to understand sleep cycles better. How long does it usually take for a person to enter REM sleep after falling asleep?

Haan, REM sleep mein jaane mein thoda time lagta hai na. Usually after like 90 minutes of falling asleep, you enter the first REM cycle. Phir throughout the night, it keeps happening. Tabhi toh dreams aate hain!

Don't worry too much about the exact timing, but typically you enter your first REM cycle about 90 minutes after falling asleep. The cycles get longer as the night progresses. Just focus on getting enough sleep overall, and your body will take care of the stages.

I used to panic about my sleep cycles too, thought I wasn't getting enough REM. But turns out, it's pretty normal to hit your first REM stage around 90 minutes into your sleep. Just focus on a consistent sleep schedule, and your body does its thing naturally.

From what I've observed with my sleep tracker, my first REM stage usually kicks in about an hour and a half after I fall asleep. But everyone is different, and it's more about the quality of sleep, not just when REM starts.

Getting good sleep, including REM, is influenced by diet too. I try to avoid heavy meals and caffeine late at night. The body takes about 90 minutes to enter REM, so good food habits definitely support better sleep cycles. Light dinner, early dinner helps.

Sleep quality is very important for overall health, especially if you have conditions like high BP. Generally, REM starts after about 90 minutes. Make sure your room is dark and quiet. If you have persistent sleep issues, talk to your doctor, it could be affecting your blood pressure.

Sleep disturbances can sometimes be linked to thyroid imbalances, so it's good to keep that in mind. Normally, the first REM cycle begins around 90 minutes. If you're consistently not getting restful sleep, it might be worth discussing with your doctor, especially if you have thyroid issues.

Getting a sleep study to check all this can be quite expensive, so better to focus on good sleep hygiene first. Your body usually hits REM sleep in about 90 minutes naturally if you have a regular sleep routine. Try to create a relaxing bedtime environment without spending too much.
