How long to cook kidney beans?

I'm planning to make rajma, but I always struggle with cooking the kidney beans just right. What's the ideal cooking time for kidney beans to be soft but not mushy?

Ah, the mighty rajma! They're like little time capsules, always need a good soak first. If you skip that, you'll be cooking them until next Diwali! 😂 Overnight soak, then 20-25 mins in a pressure cooker. Perfect every time!

I've made rajma hundreds of times. The key is absolutely soaking them overnight. After that, for perfect softness, I pressure cook them for 20-25 minutes on medium flame after the first whistle. Don't rush it, or they'll be hard. Always check a few beans for doneness.

Yaar, kidney beans, right? Rajma! Soaking is super important, like 8-10 hours, actually. Then, in the pressure cooker, after one whistle, I keep it for another 20-25 minutes on low flame. Comes out perfectly soft for rajma chawal!

Hey there! For kidney beans (rajma), always start by soaking them overnight, for at least 8 hours. This makes them cook much faster and helps with digestion. After soaking, you can pressure cook them for about 20-25 minutes (4-5 whistles) or boil them in a pot for 1 to 1.5 hours until they're very tender. Just ensure they are soft through and through.

Kidney beans, my favorite for a hearty rajma chawal! Mmm! 😍 Soaking is the secret weapon, definitely overnight. Then I usually pressure cook for about 20-25 minutes to get that perfect creamy texture. You want them soft enough to melt in your mouth!

For kidney beans, soaking them overnight is crucial, not just for cooking time but also to reduce certain compounds. After soaking, pressure cook for about 25 minutes. If you have any specific dietary restrictions or health concerns, it's always best to ask your doctor or a dietician from a good hospital about ideal preparation methods.

Rajma ko pehle 8-10 ghante bhigao. Phir cooker mein daal ke 4-5 seeti laga do. Slow flame pe 20-25 minute rakhna first whistle ke baad. Sabse best tarika hai soft rajma banane ka. Itna hi time lagta hai.
