How long should i wait to sleep after eating?

I usually eat dinner quite late because of my work schedule. Sometimes I go to bed soon after eating. I've heard it's not good, so I wanted to know how long should I wait to sleep after eating to avoid issues like indigestion?

Honestly, sometimes I eat and then just crash, no waiting! But then I wake up feeling like a truck ran over my stomach. So yeah, I try for at least 2-3 hours. Otherwise, heartburn is my constant companion. Wish I could just eat and sleep peacefully like a baby!

I used to panic if I had to sleep even 1 hour after eating, thinking I'd get indigestion or gain weight. But I learned that 2-3 hours is generally recommended, especially after a heavy meal. For a light snack, maybe 1-2 hours is fine. Don't stress too much, just give your body some time to digest.

Ugh, this is one of those things I constantly overthink! I always aim for 3 hours, especially after dinner, to avoid acid reflux or feeling bloated the next day. It feels like a long wait sometimes, but it really does make a difference. Hope you find what works for you!

At Lilavati, my doctor advised me to wait at least 3 hours after dinner before sleeping to avoid digestive issues, especially since I sometimes have acid reflux. It gives your stomach enough time to empty. It's a general guideline, but for specific health conditions, always ask your own doctor clearly.

Oh, this is a good question, I also wondered about this. I usually wait maybe an hour or two. But if I eat something heavy, I feel so sleepy. Is it bad to lie down after a heavy meal, even if you don't sleep?

Oh, many people face this issue! I used to have acidity if I slept right after eating. My dadi always said to walk a bit after dinner. Now, I try to wait for at least 2-3 hours. It really helps. Drink a glass of warm water too, it aids digestion. Small changes make a big difference.

For someone managing diabetes, it's even more crucial to be careful. Eating too close to bedtime can affect blood sugar levels during the night. I try to finish dinner at least 3 hours before sleep. It helps with digestion and keeping sugars stable. Always talk to your doctor or nutritionist about your specific diet and sleep schedule.

Bro, honestly, if I eat late, I'm usually up for like 2-3 hours after. Otherwise, the heartburn is real! Especially after maggi or something spicy. I heard docs say 2-3 hours is ideal. But if it's just a light snack, maybe an hour. Gotta let the food settle, ya know?

Hello! Many people ask this. It's generally advised to wait at least 2 to 3 hours after a main meal before going to bed. This gives your body enough time to digest the food and reduces the chances of acid reflux or indigestion. If it's a very light snack, a shorter wait might be okay, but still, give it at least an hour.

It's totally understandable to worry about things like this, especially when it affects your comfort. The general guideline is 2-3 hours after eating before sleeping. This allows for proper digestion and can help prevent issues like acid reflux. Don't feel bad if you can't always hit that mark perfectly, just try your best.

Bhai, kam se kam 2 ghante to ruko hi. Pet ko thoda time do khana pachane ke liye. Agar heavy kha liya to 3 ghante bhi theek hai. Sidha so jaoge to acidity ho sakti hai. Thoda walk kar lo ya ghar ke kaam kar lo.
