How long should babies sleep at night?

My 3-month-old is sleeping a lot during the day, which means less at night. I'm trying to establish a good routine, so I wanted to know how many hours should babies ideally be sleeping at night for their age.

Oh, baby sleep is a journey! Newborns sleep in short bursts, maybe 2-4 hours. By 6 months, some can do 6-8 hours. We tried a warm bath, gentle massage, and dark room. It doesn't happen overnight, but consistency helps. Keep trying different things.

Babies and sleep, such a mystery! 😴 Newborns are short sleepers (2-4 hrs), but by 6-12 months, many can sleep 6-12 hours at night with maybe one or two feeds. It really depends on the baby! Don't stress too much! 😊

The duration of night sleep for babies varies greatly with age. Newborns sleep intermittently, while older infants can achieve longer stretches. If you have concerns about your baby's sleep patterns, especially if it's impacting their feeding or development, always consult your pediatrician to rule out any underlying issues.

From what I've seen with my cousins' kids, it's not a fixed number. Newborns sleep maybe 2-3 hours at a time. By 6 months, some started sleeping for 5-6 hours straight. It's a gradual process, but every baby is different. I'm just sharing my observation.

Babies are just like us foodies, they need their fuel and then their rest! Newborns need frequent 'snack breaks' (feeds), so short sleep. As they get older and can hold more food, they sleep longer, maybe 6-10 hours by a year. More food, more sleep, haha!

Arre beta, babies sleep when they need to! Initially, they will wake often for milk. But as they grow, their stomach gets bigger, and they can sleep longer. By 6-8 months, many sleep through the night, maybe 6-8 hours. Don't worry, it comes with time. Just be patient and enjoy the little one.
