How long should a newborn sleep in parents room?

My wife and I have our newborn in our room right now, mostly for ease of feeding and monitoring. We're wondering when it's generally advised to move them to their own room. How long should a newborn sleep in their parents' room?

Ideally, it's good to keep the newborn in the parents' room for at least six months, up to one year. This helps with monitoring and feeding, especially at night. We had a small cradle next to our bed, it was very convenient.

Haan, it's best to keep the baby in your room for the first 6 months to a year, na? It's safer and easier for night feeds. Mera chhota bhai bhi apne baby ko apne room mein hi rakhta hai.

Oh, that newborn phase! Sleepless nights mean lots of midnight snacks for the parents, haha. But seriously, keep the baby close for at least 6 months, it's safer and makes those late-night feeds and cuddles so much easier. You'll need all the energy from good food to manage!

For newborns, sleeping in the same room as parents for 6-12 months is recommended for safety. It means less running around at night, so you save some energy for your morning walk or light stretching, once the doctor gives the green light for exercise post-delivery.

As a working parent, efficiency is key. Keeping the newborn in the room for the first 6 months to a year is practical for quick feeds and checks, saving crucial minutes. It's what most guidelines suggest for safety too.
