How long should a 4 month old sleep?

My wife and I are confused about how much sleep our four-month-old should be getting. He's a very active baby when he's awake, but when he sleeps, he sleeps soundly. What's the typical sleep requirement for a 4-month-old?

For a 4-month-old, around 12-15 hours of sleep in total is generally recommended, including naps. It's a phase where they might start sleeping longer stretches at night. Cultivate a calm environment and positive mindset, it truly helps everyone involved.

My 4-month-old actually started sleeping a bit better around this age, maybe 5-6 hours at night, sometimes more, plus a few naps. They generally need 12-15 hours total sleep. Every baby is different, but a consistent bedtime routine helps a lot!

Just like a stable lifestyle and good sleep help manage my BP, good sleep is vital for babies. A 4-month-old should get about 12-15 hours of sleep in total over 24 hours. If you notice any drastic changes in their sleep, it's always wise to mention it during their next checkup.

From my experience, a 4-month-old usually settles into a pattern of maybe 10-12 hours at night, with 1-2 wake-ups, plus a couple of naps during the day. Total around 12-15 hours. But every baby is so unique, so what worked for mine might not be exactly same for yours.

Char mahine ka bachcha hai na. Abhi thoda zyada sota hai, din mein bhi, raat mein bhi. Lagbhag 12-15 ghante total. Chinta mat karo, sab theek hai.
