How long should 6 week old sleep at night?

My baby is 6 weeks old, and I'm trying to establish a good sleep routine for her. Can someone tell me how long a 6-week-old should typically sleep at night?

At 6 weeks, little ones mostly sleep in short cycles, 2-4 hours, then wake for nourishment. This is very natural for them. Just ensure a calm and dark environment for sleep, and let your breathing be gentle and slow as you soothe them. It brings peace to both.

My 6-week-old sleeps for like 2-3 hours max at night, then wants to feed. Is that normal? I keep thinking if he's getting enough sleep or if I should try something different. Does anyone else's baby do this?

At 6 weeks, babies are still very young and need frequent feedings, even at night. So, long stretches of sleep are unlikely. They might sleep for 2-4 hours at a time. It's crucial they get adequate nutrition, so waking for feeds is expected. Always best to discuss any concerns with your pediatrician.

Che hafte ka bacha, zyada der nahi soega raat ko. 2-4 ghante ka stretch bahut hai. Feed ke liye toh uthega hi. Yeh normal hai, tension mat lo. Din mein bhi sota hoga na.

Yaar, 6-week-olds toh small hi hote hain na. They usually sleep for short bursts, like 2-4 hours, then wake up for milk. Actually, it's totally normal. Don't expect them to sleep through the night yet, that takes a while. Enjoy the cuddles!

This question can definitely make you overthink, I know I do with everything health-related! But for a 6-week-old, they really can't sleep for very long stretches at night because they need to feed often. Think 2-4 hours between feeds. It's important for their weight gain and development. If you're super worried, a quick call to the doctor can always ease the mind.

OMG, I used to obsess over this! My 6-week-old would wake up every two hours like clockwork, and I was so sleep-deprived and worried. But my doctor and friends all told me it's completely normal for them at this age. They need those frequent feeds. It feels like forever, but they do start sleeping longer stretches eventually. Just survive, you're doing great!
