How long is the pain after root canal?

I just had a root canal yesterday, and my tooth is still quite sore. My dentist said some pain is normal, but I'm wondering for how long. How long is the pain after a root canal usually expected to last?

Oh, root canal pain! It's usually a bit sensitive for a few days, maybe 3-5 days. I had mine done last year, and after the first two days, it mostly subsided with the painkillers. Try to eat soft foods and avoid chewing on that side for a bit.

The pain after a root canal? Haha, depends on how much you love pain, I guess! 😅 Seriously though, it can be sensitive for a few days, maybe up to a week. If it's really bad or doesn't go away, you definitely need to call the dentist. I just slept through the worst of it.

Bro, my root canal gave me mild discomfort for like, 4-5 days. It wasn't unbearable, just sensitive. The doc gave me painkillers and told me to avoid chewing hard stuff for a while. If it's throbbing bad after a week, better hit up the dentist again.

Oh, I totally get why you'd ask this! Root canal pain can be tricky. Generally, the acute pain subsides within 2-3 days, and then there might be some sensitivity for up to a week. If it feels like it's getting worse instead of better, definitely call your dentist back, okay?

After a root canal, some soreness is normal for a few days, often 3-7 days. For anyone, especially if you have chronic conditions like thyroid, it's good to keep track of your pain levels. If it's severe or prolonged, always follow up with your dentist; don't let it linger.

See, after a root canal, a little pain is common for 3 to 5 days. Just take the medicine the dentist gives you. Eat soft food and rinse with warm salt water; that helps a lot. If it continues for more than a week, then go back to the dentist, don't delay.
