How long is tb skin test valid for?

I got a TB skin test done for my college admission last year. Now I need another medical check-up, and they asked about my previous TB test. How long is a TB skin test result typically considered valid?

For something like a TB skin test, the validity can vary depending on why you need it. If it's for an immigration process or a new job, they often want a very recent one, sometimes not older than 3-6 months. Best to ask the specific hospital or doctor who requested it.

From my experience, if you had a negative result and no new exposure, it's generally considered good for about a year for most routine purposes. But if you're in a high-risk profession or were recently exposed, they'll want it redone. Always check the requirement of the place asking for it.

Hey, don't worry too much, but this is one of those things where a specific answer is needed. Generally, they ask for it to be recent, like within 6 months. If you're stressed, just call your doctor's office or the place asking for the test; they'll tell you the exact validity they need.

Ugh, TB tests are a pain, right? For college stuff, they usually want it within 1 year, but some places are super strict and want it like, 3 months old only. So just double check with whoever asked for it, like your uni or employer. Otherwise, it's just a waste of time and money na.

You know, for health matters, it's always best to be safe. Even if someone tells you it's valid for a year, if you feel any doubt or have new symptoms, please get it checked again. Don't take chances. A doctor's opinion is always important.
