How long has hepatitis b been around?

My nephew recently got diagnosed with Hepatitis B, and it's a bit worrying. I'm trying to learn more about it. Does anyone know how long Hepatitis B, as a disease, has been recognized or documented in medical history?

Hepatitis B is actually very old, much older than we might think! Studies show evidence of it in ancient human remains, dating back thousands of years. It's been with us for a very long time, which can be a bit scary to think about, but also shows that it's something humanity has dealt with for ages. It's good to be aware and get vaccinated.

Hepatitis B has been around for a very, very long time, even ancient times. It's not a new disease, though doctors only understood it properly much later. It's why vaccination is so important now, so young people like you don't have to worry about it like people did in my time. Don't fret, just follow medical advice.

Research indicates that the Hepatitis B virus has been circulating in human populations for at least several millennia, with genetic evidence dating back thousands of years. It's a very ancient virus. If you have concerns, ask your doctor at a reputable hospital for detailed information and preventive measures.

I can't really give medical info, but from what I've heard in general knowledge, Hepatitis B is not a new virus. It has existed in humans for many, many centuries. My family doctor also mentioned how long it's been around when we got vaccinated. That's all I know personally.

I totally get why you'd ask that, it's good to understand the history of such diseases. Hepatitis B has been with us for a very, very long time, literally thousands of years! Scientists have found its markers in ancient bones. So it's an ancient virus, not a modern phenomenon, which is quite fascinating and also a bit sobering.

Oh, that's a cool historical fact to dig into! From what I've read, Hepatitis B has actually been around for thousands of years. They've found traces of it in ancient human remains. So it's not a new virus at all, which is pretty wild to think about.
