How long for typhoid vaccine to be effective?

My family is planning a trip, and we're considering getting the typhoid vaccine. I'm wondering after taking the vaccine, how long does it usually take for it to become effective and provide protection?

From my personal experience, when I got the typhoid vaccine a few years ago for travel, my doctor told me it takes about 1-2 weeks for the vaccine to become fully effective. I made sure to get it well in advance before my trip. Can't comment on anything beyond my own journey.

Oh, that's a good question. I was thinking of getting one too. I've heard it's not immediate, maybe a week or two? Does it depend on which type of vaccine you get, like oral or injection?

Typhoid vaccine takes a bit of time to build immunity, usually around 1 to 2 weeks for full effectiveness. It's not like an instant cure. While you wait, remember to drink clean water and eat hygienic food. Prevention is always best.

For the typhoid vaccine, it's generally effective after about 1 to 2 weeks from when you get the shot or complete the oral doses. So plan accordingly if you're getting it for travel or for a specific reason. Always best to get it well in advance.

When it comes to vaccines like typhoid, it typically takes 1-2 weeks for your body to build full immunity. For anyone, especially those managing conditions like diabetes, it's important to keep your blood sugar levels stable during this period to support your immune system. Always follow your doctor's specific advice.
