How long for fever to break?

My 5-year-old daughter, Riya, has a fever of 102°F since morning, and I gave her paracetamol a while ago. It's making her so cranky. As a mother, I'm always worried, how long does it usually take for a fever to break in children?

If it's just a common viral fever, it typically breaks within 24-72 hours. Taking paracetamol every 6-8 hours and staying well-hydrated helps a lot. If it lasts longer than 3 days, or is very high, definitely consult a doctor; don't wait.

Oh, a fever is the worst, isn't it? For me, if it's a normal viral fever, it usually takes about 2-3 days to completely break. But if it's really high, sometimes a good paracetamol helps bring it down in a few hours. Just keep hydrating and resting, that's key.

A fever? Oh, the joys of getting older and feeling every little germ, haan? My fevers usually take about 2-3 days to break completely these days, even with medicine. Back in my youth, they'd be gone in a day! Just rest, hydrate, and don't overthink it unless it's really high or staying too long.

My amma always says that fevers usually take about two to three days to fully subside. Take your medicine on time, drink warm water, and rest well. If it's not breaking after 72 hours, or if you feel very unwell, then it's important to consult the doctor.

Fever can be really debilitating, especially with other health conditions. Generally, a viral fever might subside in 2-3 days with proper care and medication. But if it's very high, or accompanied by other worrying symptoms, please don't hesitate to see a doctor. It's always better to be safe and rule out anything serious.

Hello! A fever is usually the body's way of fighting infection. For most common colds or viral infections, the fever usually starts to come down and break within 2 to 3 days. Make sure to drink plenty of fluids and rest. If it's persistent or very high, please see a doctor.

Don't worry too much. Most common fevers will start to break within 24-48 hours once you take proper medication and get rest. Keep checking your temperature and make sure you're drinking enough fluids. If it persists beyond 3 days or you feel severely ill, please go to a doctor.
