How long does tmj pain last?

My jaw has been really bothering me, especially when I eat, and my doctor suspects TMJ issues. I'm wondering how long the pain associated with TMJ typically lasts for most people.

Hey, TMJ pain can be super annoying na? But honestly, don't stress too much about the duration right now. Sometimes it's just a few days if it's mild, especially with some rest and soft food. If it's really bothering you, better to get it checked out.

Yaar, I just recovered from TMJ pain a couple of months back. Mine lasted for almost 3 weeks straight, it was so annoying. I had to go to a physical therapist and do jaw exercises, then it slowly got better. Don't expect it to vanish overnight, but treatment really helps!

It varies a lot from person to person. Rest and warm compresses can help in many cases. Hope you find relief soon.

Usually, for small pains, my mother would say to apply some warm oil and rest. But for TMJ, it can be more complex. Sometimes it goes away in a few weeks, sometimes it needs specialist help. Always good to listen to the doctor for these things, beta.

Oh, TMJ pain. I always worry when I hear about joint pain. It can be short-term or chronic, depending on the reason. Have you seen a doctor? Sometimes it's stress, sometimes it's something more. Don't ignore it, okay?
