How long does thunderstorm asthma last?

Someone in my apartment complex mentioned 'thunderstorm asthma' and it sounds a bit scary. We've had a few bad thunderstorms recently, so I wanted to ask how long the symptoms of thunderstorm asthma typically last.

Yaar, thunderstorm asthma can be quite sudden and intense, actually. The symptoms usually last for a few hours to a day or two after the storm passes. But it's really important to manage it with your inhaler and if it's bad, get to a hospital quickly na.

Humare yahan bhi kabhi kabhi mausam badalta hai toh logon ko saans lene mein takleef hoti hai. Yeh thunderstorm asthma zyada der nahi rehta, toofan ke baad theek ho jaata hai. Par tabiyat kharab lage toh doctor ko turant dikhana chahiye.

Thunderstorm asthma can be quite frightening due to the sudden onset. The acute symptoms usually resolve within hours or a day as the air clears. Gentle breathing exercises might help during recovery, but during an attack, rely on your prescribed medication and seek medical help if needed.

I've never heard of thunderstorm asthma before, that sounds really scary. So, is it just during the storm itself, or can the effects linger for a few days even after the storm is gone?

Oh my, I can only imagine how terrifying thunderstorm asthma must be. It's a sudden and severe reaction, and the symptoms usually last until the air quality improves, which can be a few hours to a couple of days. It's so important to have an action plan ready.

My neighbour suffered from this a few years back. He said the severe breathing trouble lasted for a few hours during the storm and immediately after. Then for a day or two, he felt weak and had some lingering cough. Always keep your inhaler close during such weather.

Betaji, thunderstorm asthma is not a small matter. The severe part can last for a few hours. After that, some uneasiness can stay for a day or so. Keep your medicines with you. For breathlessness, sometimes a warm steam can give some temporary relief, but doctor's medicines are main.

Thunderstorm asthma is no joke. The acute phase usually passes within a day or two as the pollen settles. Staying indoors and minimizing exposure is key. A strong respiratory system through regular cardio and a clean diet helps overall, but for an actual attack, follow medical advice immediately.

Thunderstorm asthma ka attack serious hota hai. Jo saans lene mein takleef hoti hai, woh storm ke baad thodi der mein theek ho jaati hai, kuch ghante ya ek din. Lekin agar zyada ho toh hospital jaana padta hai bhai.

For something as critical as asthma, especially this specific type, do NOT seek advice here. This is a medical emergency. You need to follow your doctor's asthma action plan, and if symptoms are severe during a thunderstorm, go to the hospital. No home remedies, no waiting.

My son has asthma, and we are very careful during thunderstorms. The worst of the attack typically resolves within a few hours, but sometimes he'll have a cough or feel wheezy for another day or two. Always make sure their reliever inhaler is handy and know when to seek emergency help.
