Average fever usually lasts for 2-3 days if it's a common viral infection. But just like with thyroid, if it's persistent or very high, don't ignore it. Always track symptoms and consult a doctor if it doesn't improve, or if it's recurrent.

From what I've observed in myself and my family, and seen in countless posts here, a typical viral fever generally resolves within 2 to 3 days. However, if it's accompanied by other severe symptoms or lasts longer than 72 hours, it's always advisable to consult a physician for proper diagnosis.
