How long does temporary weight gain after exercise last?

After a heavy workout session, I sometimes feel like I've gained a bit of weight. I know it's probably temporary, but I'm wondering how long this kind of temporary weight gain typically lasts after exercising.

It's quite common to see a slight temporary increase in weight after intense exercise, amma used to say it's just water. This usually goes away in 1-3 days as your muscles recover and water balance normalizes. But if you are worried, check with a doctor.

Your body is a temple, so be gentle and patient with it. This temporary weight gain is usually just water retention for muscle repair. It generally resolves within a day or two. Keep a positive mind and trust the process of healing and strengthening.

Oh, that annoying scale jump after a good workout! It's usually just your muscles holding onto water for repair. Don't panic, it's not real fat gain. It vanishes in a day or two, sometimes three. Just keep hydrating and your true weight will reappear!

I used to freak out about this! But honestly, after a heavy leg day or intense session, my weight used to go up by 0.5-1 kg. It always came back down to normal within 2 days, max 3. It's just water and inflammation from muscle repair.

Hey, don't stress too much about it! It's super common. When you lift or do intense exercise, your muscles get tiny tears and hold onto water to repair. This temporary gain usually disappears within 24-48 hours. Keep drinking water and you're good!
