How long does tb stay on surfaces?

A distant relative recently got diagnosed with TB. I was just wondering, for how long can TB bacteria remain viable on various surfaces like doorknobs or furniture? Trying to understand the risk.

Yaar, TB bacteria can last on surfaces for weeks or even months. This means regular cleaning with good disinfectants is a must. No need for fancy expensive cleaning products, simple bleach solutions work. Proper ventilation also helps reduce overall germ load, so it's a practical, low-cost safety measure.

TB bacteria, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, are known for their resilience. They can survive on dry surfaces for weeks, some studies suggest even months, depending on light and temperature. So, keeping living spaces well-ventilated and regularly disinfected, especially high-touch surfaces, is crucial. You can even set reminders on health apps for regular cleaning schedules.

I used to panic about germs everywhere, thinking they'd vanish in minutes. But with TB, those bacteria are super persistent, can hang around for weeks or even longer on surfaces! I learned that it's normal for many bacteria to survive outside the body. Just clean well and ventilate, no need to overthink.

It's surprising how long some pathogens can last on surfaces. TB bacteria can survive for weeks to months, making hygiene critical. This reminds us that a healthy lifestyle and regular checkups are important not just for conditions like BP, but also for overall immunity to fight off environmental threats.
