How long does tb immunization last?

I remember getting a TB immunization when I was a child. Now, with all the talks about health, I'm wondering if it still protects me. How long does TB immunization generally last?

The BCG vaccine, which is for TB, doesn't give lifelong immunity. For adults like me, especially with conditions like diabetes that can affect immunity, it's about being aware of symptoms and regular check-ups. The protection can wane over time.

Oh, TB immunization is tricky because it's not like other vaccines that give super long protection. The BCG vaccine's effectiveness can decrease over the years, especially for adults. It makes me anxious, but knowing this helps me be more vigilant about any symptoms and getting tested if needed. Don't worry too much, but stay aware.

Childhood vaccinations are important, but for TB, the protection from BCG is not lifelong, beta. It helps protect children from severe forms, but for grown-ups, it's not as strong. We must keep our bodies strong with good food and hygiene, alongside what doctors advise.

The BCG vaccine, used for TB, primarily offers protection to infants and young children against severe forms of the disease. Its effectiveness wanes over time and generally doesn't provide strong, long-lasting protection for adults. It's not a lifelong immunity.

Don't trust any random info on how long a TB immunization lasts. The BCG vaccine mainly protects kids. For adults, its effectiveness is debated and it doesn't give permanent immunity. If you're worried about TB, or for yourself or your family, go ask a real doctor, they will give you the correct facts.

While the BCG vaccine is important for childhood immunity against severe TB, its protective effect for adults and against pulmonary TB is limited and doesn't last indefinitely. It's best to discuss your specific concerns and vaccination history with a doctor for accurate advice based on current guidelines.
