How long does skin take to tighten after weight loss?

I've lost almost 25 kgs in the last year, and I'm really happy with my progress, but now I have some loose skin. I'm wondering, how long does skin usually take to tighten after significant weight loss, or does it at all?

Honestly, it depends on a lot of factors like how much weight you lost, your age, and genetics. For me, after losing about 20kg, my skin took a good 6-8 months to show noticeable tightening, especially with exercise. Be consistent.

My doctor explained that collagen and elastin production plays a huge role. She said younger people usually see better results faster, sometimes in 6-12 months. For others, it could be longer or might need other interventions. Building muscle helps too.

Haha, the skin is like that clingy ex, takes its sweet time to leave, right? But seriously, give it time. Hydration and a good diet help. Don't expect magic overnight, it's a marathon, not a sprint!

Been there, done that! After losing a lot of weight, it's a slow process. What helped me was resistance training to build muscle underneath, and staying super hydrated. Don't fall for quick fixes; it can take a year or even more for the best natural results.

Oh, this is something I've been wondering about too. I've just started my weight loss journey. Does drinking a lot of water really make a big difference for skin elasticity?

It's totally normal to feel a bit disheartened by loose skin after all that hard work. I struggled with it too. It's a journey, and celebrating every small win helps. Don't let it diminish your achievement of losing weight.

For me, managing my diabetes carefully and eating a balanced diet with good protein helped in general body recovery, which included skin health. Avoid excessive sugar; it's not good for skin elasticity. Discuss with your doctor if you have concerns.

Skin tightening? My brain is barely tightening after a night with my toddler! I heard collagen supplements help, but honestly, I'm too tired to research. Just keep glowing, you already did the hard part!
