How long does sciatica pain last?

For the past few weeks, I've had this terrible pain in my lower back radiating down my left leg, especially when I sit. My family doctor mentioned it sounds like sciatica. I'm wondering, how long does sciatica pain typically last?

Be prepared for potential costs of MRI and physiotherapy if it's sciatica. These treatments can be long-term. Look into health insurance coverage or public hospital options if budget is a concern. Consistency in treatment is key, so plan for it.

Sciatica is not a fixed duration thing, bhai. It depends on what's causing it. Minor muscle issues might clear in a few weeks. If it's a disc problem, it could be months, or even require intervention. Get yourself to a doctor, get an MRI, and then you'll know. No shortcut.

Sciatica! Ah, the joy of aging, where your body decides to send electric shocks down your leg for no reason. It can last anywhere from 'I sneezed too hard' to 'I guess this is my life now.' Seriously though, get it checked, could be a disc issue. My back and I are no longer friends.

My neighbour had sciatica for almost three months, and he was very troubled. It takes a lot of patience and following the doctor's exercise regimen. It's not a short-term pain, beta. But with consistent effort and proper care, it does get better.

Sciatica can be very persistent. Just like managing BP needs regular check-ups and lifestyle changes, this also needs consistent treatment. Focus on good posture, regular mild exercise (if doctor allows), and don't lift heavy things. Always consult your doctor for a proper plan.
