How long does rotator cuff pain last?

I've been having persistent pain in my shoulder, especially when I lift my arm. My doctor said it might be a rotator cuff issue. How long does rotator cuff pain usually last, will it improve with rest?

This kind of pain in the shoulder area can be debilitating. If it's persistent, please don't just wait for it to go away. It's really important to see a doctor and get it checked out properly. Early diagnosis and treatment can prevent it from getting worse and becoming chronic.

Rotator cuff pain is not a joke. Don't go looking for quick fixes online. It needs a proper diagnosis from an orthopedic doctor. Could be a minor strain or a tear. Recovery can range from weeks to months, depending on severity and whether it needs therapy or surgery. Get professional help.

I ignored my shoulder pain for too long, thinking it was just a muscle pull. Ended up with a partial tear and needed surgery. My recovery was over six months. Please, if you have this pain, go to a doctor, get an MRI, and don't make my mistake. Early intervention is key.

My friend had rotator cuff issues from too much gyming. It took her several weeks of physio to feel better, and she still has to be careful. It's not a quick fix, sadly. So definitely see a specialist and start treatment properly, don't push yourself.

Rotator cuff issues can involve MRI scans and physiotherapy, which can add up. Make sure you understand the treatment plan and costs involved. Sometimes basic physio exercises can be done at home with guidance, which saves some money. But don't skimp on the diagnosis.

Dealing with chronic pain like rotator cuff can be emotionally exhausting, I totally understand if you're feeling frustrated. It's not just physical. The duration really varies depending on the exact injury and how consistently you do your rehab. Be kind to yourself through the process and seek support.

I had a scare with my shoulder, thought it was rotator cuff and panicked. Turned out to be just some tendonitis from overuse, and it settled in about 3 weeks with rest and a little physio. So while it can be serious, sometimes it's less. Get it diagnosed, that's step one.

Rotator cuff pain can be very nagging. My uncle had it for many months. Family advised some massages, but ultimately the doctor's physiotherapy sessions helped him. It takes time, patience, and consistent effort. Always follow the doctor's plan, dear.
