How long does newborn circumcision pain last?

My baby boy just had his circumcision, and he's quite uncomfortable. I'm giving him the pain medicine the doctor prescribed, but I'm worried. How long does newborn circumcision pain usually last? I just want him to be okay soon.

Newborn babies heal so fast, ho na. Usually, the acute soreness and crying during urination only lasts for about 2 to 3 days, and the whole healing happens in a week. Just apply the ointment carefully.

For my baby, the initial discomfort subsided within 3 days. Since every baby is different, it is best to strictly follow your pediatrician's guidelines and avoid applying any random powders or home remedies.

The main sting lasts for 2 to 3 days, especially during the first few urinations. If you notice any active bleeding, foul smell, or if the baby doesn't wet his diaper for 8 hours, contact your pediatrician immediately.

Beta, newborn skin is very delicate and heals within 5 to 7 days. Do not put any hard soaps or traditional oils on the area; only use clean, warm water to wash it gently until the doctor says it has healed.

I agree that the pain mostly goes away in 3 days. Just apply petroleum jelly on the front of the diaper so it doesn't stick to the healing skin.

Our little guy was cranky for about 3 days, which meant zero sleep for us. The pain passes quickly, but the parental paranoia lasts forever! Just keep applying the gel the doctor gave and buy loose diapers.

Based on my baby tracker data, his feeding and sleeping patterns returned to 100% normal on the 4th day after the procedure. It takes about 7 to 10 days for the skin to heal completely, so just monitor the area daily.

The baby is usually fine in about 3 days, but we parents need endless cups of strong filter coffee and snacks to survive the crying phase! Just hold him close, he will be perfectly fine in a week.

My nephew had it done and he was fussy for just about 2 days. Keeping him in soft, loose cotton clothes and giving him lots of skin-to-skin cuddles really helped soothe him during those first few diaper changes.

The worst of the pain lasts for about 3 days. Keep the diaper loose and keep the area clean to help him heal quickly.

Plan for at least 3 days of work-from-home or leave to manage the baby's care. The acute crying and pain subside within 48 hours, but you need to be hands-on with the diaper ointment applications every few hours.

I cried so much during my son's procedure because of the guilt and anxiety of seeing him in pain. But honestly, the sharp pain lasts only 2 days, and newborns heal so much faster than us. It's okay to feel overwhelmed.

I totally get it, it is absolutely heartbreaking to hear your tiny baby cry in pain. Fortunately, the severe soreness lasts only for the first 2 days, and they bounce back very quickly after that. Stay strong, mama.

We had our baby boy circumcised last month. He was only fussy for the first two days, mostly when he wet his diaper. By day 7, the redness was completely gone and he was back to normal.

In newborns, the pain usually settles in 48 to 72 hours. While nursing, the mother should eat simple, non-spicy foods to keep the breastmilk easy on the baby's digestion and keep him comfortable.
