How long does neck pain from sleeping wrong last?

I woke up with terrible neck pain today, I think I slept in a weird position. It's quite stiff and painful to move. How long does neck pain from sleeping wrong usually last? Any idea when I'll feel normal again?

I woke up with a frozen neck yesterday and I can barely turn my head to the left today, which is making me really anxious. Has anyone else had pain that felt this sharp just from sleeping weirdly? I hope it's not a slipped disc or something serious.

It takes around 48 to 72 hours for a sleep-related neck spasm to clear up. Don't waste your time with heavy massages as that can inflame the nerve; just apply a good topical pain gel and try to keep your neck straight while working.

This usually lasts about 2 to 4 days at most. Avoid any sudden jerks and stop using thick, fluffy pillows immediately; switch to a thin, supportive one or a cervical pillow instead. Applying a warm compress for 15 minutes twice a day will quickly relax those stiff muscles.

Gardan ki nasein khich jaati hain galat sone se, beta. Do-teen din mein yeh thik ho jayega, bilkul fikar mat karo. Thoda sa gunjale sarso ke tel se dheere-dheere malish kar lo aur thanda paani mat piyo.

My son woke up crying with severe neck pain last week because of a bad sleeping posture. It took about 3 days of light hot water fermentation and making sure he didn't slouch over his tablet for it to go away completely.
