How long does muscle strain pain last?

I pulled a muscle in my leg while exercising yesterday and it's quite painful today. I've applied some balm, but I'm wondering how long this kind of muscle strain pain usually lasts. Will I be able to walk normally soon?

A muscle strain can take anywhere from 2 weeks for a mild one to over 2 months if it's a severe tear. I always worry about internal damage, so I avoid moving too much. Just keep resting it and please don't push yourself too early, let it heal properly.

Honestly, being stuck in bed with a bad back strain for 3 weeks completely ruined my mental peace and made me feel so helpless. It takes about a month to feel normal, and the recovery process can be so frustrating. Just hang in there, it gets better, so try to keep your mind occupied.

While a minor strain usually feels better in 10 to 14 days, you should really get it checked by an orthopedic doctor or a physiotherapist. It is very easy to mistake a ligament tear for a simple muscle strain. Getting a proper diagnosis early will prevent any long-term joint or muscle issues.

Don't panic, minor strains usually start settling down within a week or two if you follow the RICE protocol. Just make sure you are not trying to stretch it or massage it forcefully right now, as that can worsen the tear. Give it time, use cold packs, and you will be fine.

I pulled my hamstring playing football last month and it took a solid 3 weeks to heal. First week I did absolutely nothing except icing it, and then slowly started basic mobility exercises. Don't rush back into playing too soon or you'll strain it again.

I think I strained my shoulder yesterday while lifting a heavy bag, and it is hurting quite a bit today. Is it okay to use a hot water bottle on it, or does that make the swelling worse in the beginning? I would appreciate any gentle advice.

Beta, a muscle strain requires patience and proper rest for at least 2 to 3 weeks. You can gently apply warm mustard oil mixed with a little garlic to the area after the first two days of injury. Keep the muscle warm and do not put any unnecessary load on it.

A neck strain actually takes about 10 days to completely go away, yaar. The first 3 days are very painful, but using a good pain relief gel and sleeping with a thin pillow really helps. Just don't do any sudden gym movements.
