How long does mono affect your liver?

My friend recently had mono, and the doctor mentioned it affected his liver function tests. I'm wondering, for how long does mono typically affect a person's liver? Does it cause permanent damage or does it recover completely?

I got so scared when my doctor told me my liver enzymes were high because of mono. I kept reading online and got myself into a panic loop. Usually, it takes around a month or two for the liver values to come back to normal, but please get regular blood tests done so you know exactly where you stand. Don't worry, with rest it definitely gets better.

If you have mono, you absolutely need to pause any heavy workouts or contact sports for at least a month because of the risk of an enlarged spleen or liver issues. Focus on clean eating right now with zero alcohol and very low fat so your liver doesn't have to work extra hard. Let your blood reports clear up before you hit the gym again.

Beta, mono can keep your liver a bit weak and swollen for about 4 to 6 weeks, sometimes even a couple of months. During this time, you must give your body complete rest and avoid any heavy lifting. Drink warm coconut water and eat very simple, non-oily ghar ka khana to let the liver heal naturally. Do not take any heavy medicines without asking your doctor first.

Yes, it generally takes around 4 to 6 weeks for the liver enzymes to settle down after mono. Just make sure you get a repeat liver function test as advised by your doctor to be absolutely safe.

Haan, mono liver ko thoda affect toh karta hai, values normal aane mein easily 4-8 weeks lag jaate hain. Fret karne ki bilkul zaroorat nahi hai, bas oil aur ghee thoda kam rakho diet mein. Aur haan, alcohol toh bhool kar bhi mat chhuna jab tak doc green signal na de de.

My doctor also mentioned my liver might be slightly affected due to mono, and I am a bit worried. Is it normal to feel a mild dull ache on the right side of the stomach during this time? How long did it take for your fatigue to go away completely along with the liver healing?
