How long does it take to recover from a fever?

I've been down with a fever for the past two days, feeling quite weak. My wife is asking how long it usually takes to fully recover from a fever and get back to normal activities? Just trying to plan my work schedule.

A viral fever should go down in 3 to 5 days, but if it stays high, get a blood test immediately. I once ignored a persistent fever thinking it was normal weakness and it turned out to be severe dengue, which landed me in the ICU. Please don't delay your checkup.

Yes, 3 to 5 days of rest is typical for recovery. Drinking coconut water throughout the day really helps to restore your strength.

Usually it takes 3 to 7 days, but whenever I get a fever, I get so anxious checking my temperature every half hour. Please try to rest and keep track of your symptoms. If it doesn't settle in a few days, definitely consult a doctor so you have peace of mind.

My temperature hit 102 last month and I absolutely panicked, thinking the worst. But with basic paracetamol and plenty of rest, it broke on day 3 and I was perfectly fine. Don't worry, just keep taking fluids and let your body fight it.

A standard viral fever takes 3 to 5 days to run its course. Make sure you take paracetamol as advised by your doctor, stay hydrated, and get plenty of rest. If the fever stays high after 3 days or you have a rash, get tested.

For kids and adults alike, it usually takes 3 to 4 days of proper care to recover. I make sure my kids get plenty of warm soup and keep their foreheads cool with a wet cloth if the temperature rises. Stay patient and don't rush them back to school or work too soon.

I literally just got over a bad fever three days ago. It took me 4 days of complete bed rest to feel normal again, and the weakness lasted a bit longer. Just drink plenty of warm water, eat simple food, and don't try to work through it.

According to the medical literature, typical viral recovery is 3 to 5 days, though post-viral fatigue can last for two weeks. My doctor explained that a fever is actually the immune system fighting the infection, so we shouldn't over-medicate unless it's very high.

Recovery takes about 3 to 5 days, but what you eat is crucial. Avoid heavy, oily food and instead focus on light khichdi, vegetable broths, and warm herbal teas to support your digestive system. It helps your body focus its energy on healing.

While most fevers resolve in 3 to 5 days, please be very cautious. My father had a low-grade fever that we thought was simple weakness, but it escalated into a severe chest infection due to delayed treatment. If the fever persists or is accompanied by breathing issues, see a doctor immediately.
