How long does it take to get over malaria?

My cousin just returned from a trip and contracted malaria. She's started treatment, but we are all concerned. How long does it usually take to get over malaria and feel completely normal again?

Bhai, malaria thoda time leta hai body se nikalne me, haan? Active fever toh 4-5 days me thik ho jata hai, par body weakness kam se kam do hafte rehti hai. Light khana khao aur dhoop me mat nikalna abhi, na?

From what I have heard, the active malaria fever can settle in about a week with proper antimalarial drugs. However, your body's immunity gets quite low, so please don't rush into heavy physical work. Take it slow and focus on restoring your energy levels step by step.

Let's be real, you need a full 7-day course of proper prescription meds to kill the parasite. After that, the recovery is basically about sleep and nutrition for another week. Don't try to be a hero and jump back into your routine too fast.

It usually takes around a week with medicine, but please keep a close watch on your platelet counts as that always worries me. Watch out for extreme weakness or dark urine and call your doctor immediately if something feels off. I hope you get through this safely, please rest well.

The worst part of malaria is how depressing and draining the constant high fever feels for those first 5 days. It is completely normal to feel frustrated, teary, and absolutely exhausted during this phase. Be gentle with yourself, the emotional toll is real but you will get through this in 10-14 days.

The physical body takes about 7 to 10 days to cleanse itself of this illness under a doctor's care. Keep your mind calm, stay positive, and let your body heal peacefully without stress. God willing, you will regain your strength very soon.

My sister just went through this last month, and honestly, the fever went down in about 5 days of doctor's treatment. But she was feeling exhausted even after a week, so we gave her lots of fresh fruits and coconut water. Give yourself at least 10 to 12 days to feel like yourself again.

I literally just got my negative reports day before yesterday! The intense chills and fever lasted for exactly 4 days after starting the prescription. Even now, my knees feel a bit shaky, so expect a solid 10 days before you can resume normal life.
